This project aims to assist rural education and literacy with the FREE
Information Communication Technology (ICT) with the ultimate goal of
developing new or innovative ways learning for children, youth, women,
community peoples and adults with especially concentration of village
level administration of rural literacy with new concept of Digital Unify
Program.
This project would provide an age graded learning platform for all the villagers in the targeted area. This FREE Digital Unify Program center aims a new Information center
that aims to provide interested individuals and professionals working
in the field of community development in Digital Unify Program center benefits
of digital technology, by providing free of cost both the technology as
well as basics informatics training courses to those who have no
knowledge of how to use a personal computer and access the internet. Its
key beneficiaries are disadvantaged people from the minimum age of 14
years old.

ACTIVITIES TO will BE DONE:
- Definition of Computer
- Understanding the Virtual Desktop Environment
- Talking with Fingers: Learning to Type
- Searching the Internet
- Emailing with Gmail
- Literacy orientation for Rural schools Teachers
- Computer literacy for all the target groups
- Internet based public usage computer to browse the world for information and communication
- Recording and reporting rural innovation experiences
- Internet Searching and Emailing: practice
- Writing: Learning the Basics of a Word processor
- Calculating: Learning the Basics of a Spreadsheet
- Courses will last 20 hours, i.e. typically 10 lessons of 2 hours each for max 20 students (max 2 students per PC)
BENEFICIARIES TARGET GROUPS:
- Recommended minimum age for participants is 14 years, but in any case not less than 12 years
- disadvantaged people ,all community peoples school and college students , women’s youths agricultural farmers etc..
TARGET AREA:
District: Thiruvannamalai District , Villupuram District Taluk: Vandavasi ,Gingee ,Chetpet Block: Pearanamallur , Chetpet , Mealmalainur
Village Panchayats: nearly more than 40 Villlages
Targeted peoples training every year : > 600 every year .
VII. MONITORING & REPORTING
The
center would be monitored on the basis of its programmes, the
performance and relevant of the center for the community it targets.
- First level monitoring and reporting would be done on weekly basis by the staff of SWADD.
- Second level monitoring and reporting would be done on monthly by the people in the targeted location.
- Third level monitoring would be done by the board of SWADD in a quarterly basis
VIII. EVALUATION
The effectiveness and appropriateness of the center would be evaluated on monthly basis in the staff review meeting. People
participation would also be sought to ensure the appropriateness of the
services rendered by the knowledge center by local technology experts
and online evaluation TEAM SUPPORT
